It’s Chasing Mimi’s tribute to the silver screen. In this episode Ryan and Martin are joined by Sports Illustrated’s Lindsay Schnell, who is as passionate as we are about kids sports movies, a genre that is woefully underrepresented in today’s film industry.

While Adam is still riding his hot streak from tetherball and dreaming of future stardom, Ryan compares foursquare to life and Martin tries to explain what the heck Dr. Dodgeball is.

As we prepare for all things Freedom and America, Internet friend Bobby Big Wheel stops by to talk about computer games, the only way we could trick our parents into thinking we were doing something educational as kids while we were really conquering nations with the click of a mouse. Some all-star names are covered like SimCity, as well as some lesser known hits like Amazon Trail.

In the end we laughed, we cried, and we remembered what it was like to be kids in front of a computer screen trying to figure out whether to build roads or a new power plant when we really should’ve been kicking soccer balls instead.

This week’s episode features a subject that is near and dear to our hearts: 90s R&B. We welcome Lauren Brownlow from Fox Sports Carolinas to help us remember the good times.  In our exploration of all things sensual and double entendre, we break down Ginuwine’s Pony video, the albums that got us into the genre (soundtracks included), who we’d like to have perform if we had $1,000 and more.

There’s also a brief introduction to Adult Chocolate Milk, which Martin has volunteered to try at some point soon for some inexplicable reason.

In the spirit of, well, the show that got us here, this week is devoted to school trips. While none of us took a whale watching expedition in the name of education, we did some other fun stuff. Here to help us reflect is MLB.com’s Matthew Leach, who brought our Florida contingent into frightening quorum levels. We discuss trips to Florida destinations, Tampa: the social media manager of cities, as well as Enterprise Village. You’ll just have to listen to find out what the heck that is.

Who better to bring in than snacker extraordinaire (it’s on his business card, we think) Seth Rosenthal. Seth is good at blogging and does so in various places including Posting and Toasting and SB Nation. But mostly he’s just a smart and fun person who we really enjoyed talking about snacks with.

In this episode everything from the ages old Fruit Rollup vs. Fruit By The Foot debate to the idea of fruit snacks as commerce is discussed so we’re serving up (food term) the fun.

We did our best to keep up, but there are some universes even we aren’t so familiar with.
